Use A Shopping List
Writing up and using a shopping list sounds simple, but it's a task you have
to commit yourself to if you want it to save you money.
Bring your list with you and stick to it. Only buy what you've written on it.

Plan Your Shopping:
If you find yourself shopping for groceries/home essentials on more than
one day a week it's time to sit down and plan your shopping trips.
The less time you spend in a store the more money you save. Reducing
your shopping trips to one day a week will help cut down on small impulse
purchases you don't need.
Impulse buying is a temptation you have to avoid!
Planning your shopping trip will also help you write better shopping lists.

Keep Track, Develop A Budget:
Keeping track of how much you spend is important. Knowing how much
money you're spending and what your spending it on will help you develop
a household budget.
Convince Yourself That You Don't Need It
Compare your monthly expenses to your monthly household income.
Review your monthly expenses and cut back on items you don't need.
One month of good record keeping of expenses will show you that there
are purchases you've made on items you don't need.
